There is so much time dedicated to new and minor characters, while the main characters’ lives and especially deaths! I’m going to talk about some spoilers, so I’m going hide them. Were you sapkowksi bored with the Witcher world? Lost interest and stopped reading about halfway through. Books by Andrzej Sapkowski.
Or how Ciri was the child of hope and throughout all books everyone were making great plans for her to conceive a child and she ended up alone with some knight wanting her to become his wife? There were extra narratives including the Lady of the Lake and her apprentice, Dijkstra, etc that pulled you out of the story as well and this became Perhaps I just didn’t understand, or perhaps I missed something.
They don’t seem to influence much sapkowwski all. Thats not to say this book doesn’t have some strong points though. This is a book about opportunists. It’s a story about how people will always try to use others if it means they might have a chance for more power. We begin with Ciri, who is in “the land of the elves”, which is spin-doctoring for our world.

Return to Book Page. I did enjoyed parts of this book, though it did have many problems. That said, this was a very disappointing entry in this series. Open Preview See a Problem? Ciri is in our worldbeing spoken to by Galahad and being forced to make love kago Oberon named Auberon here. The ending was totally underwhelming, some weird shit all around. To make the plot go here is just insane: The way that he learns of Vilgefortz’s location is pretty convenient and anddrzej serves to push the plot forward out of the mire.
Some of the flames were high and strong, shining brightly and vividly, while others were small, shaky and trembling, and the flames darkened and they sank. So they opened their big de So many boring chapters. It all felt vague and extremely fragmented, but I suppose that’s what happens with dreams.
I finished the first three, and they were perfect. Ciri is reduced to that of lag young animal to be bred, Triss and Yennefer get into a cat fight over Ger I originally read this as a fan translated pdf, before it was officially released in the U.
There were some newly introduced characters that I felt were introduced and were describe a bit too late in the game.
Thanks for telling us about the problem. Unlike many I enjoyed getting Ciri’s story, seeing what Yen went through, and even was grateful for ddama extended battle sequence between the Northern armies and Nilfgaard.
